Transport Company License in Dubai: How It Works
A transport company needs two licenses that work together:
- DET trade license. The Department of Economy and Tourism registers your company and activity on mainland.
- RTA permit. Under Executive Council Resolution No. 47 of 2017, no company may run a transport or vehicle rental activity in Dubai without an RTA permit. The permit is valid for one year and must be renewed at least 30 days before expiry.
